It will take around six months for the first phase and another six months for the second phase.

For example, after completion of the NLEX-SLEX connector roads, a motorist will only have to get a ticket once at an NLEX entry and pay once at an SLEX exit.
The DOTr said the first phase of the agreement will cover electronic toll collection using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
The first phase of the agreement will take around six months to fully implement and another six months for the second phase.
The second phase is the cash collection interoperability. Motorists paying in cash will only get a single ticket and pay once regardless of toll entry and exit points.
Making our toll systems interoperable will bring a new level of convenience to our motorists, especially during peak season.”
